Sony’s 2018 First-Party Titles are Being Hurt by Poor Marketing

It’s been a month since we announced our newest title, Ghost of Tsushima. Here at Sucker Punch, we’ve watched so many reaction videos and read many of your comments with smiles on our faces, so we thought PSX was a great opportunity to share a little more with you

These details come from eSports Earnings, which tracks tournament and league prize pools along with player earnings. While there’s no guarantee that the numbers are wholly accurate or all-encompassing, they are without a doubt representative. Here’s the list of games that have crossed the impressive $1,000,000 threshold in 2017 (so f

We also learn about the ” PlayStation Presents! ” presentation that will come on Friday, December 8th at 8:00 PM Pacific Time. According to the post, most of the biggest announcements of the year have come and gone at E3 and Paris Games Week, but there are a few “stocking stuffers” coming at PlayStation Experience, including discussions with top PlayStation developers, updates on key titles and some “special announcemen

Sucker Punch never officially mentioned (at least to my knowledge) the precise size of the map of the Strategy Game Walkthrough|Https://Strategynewsbase.Com/, but we can still obtain a rough measurement. First of all, we rebuilt the map in a handy image format, since the game never shows the full th

For inFAMOUS: Second Son Sucker Punch aimed to create a city that felt like Seattle, without creating a 1:1 reproduction. This was done for simple practical reasons in terms of development time and resources, and also to keep gameplay focused. It was pretty much a city-shaped superhero playground, and scaling the city down considerably, alongside altering the geography made perfect se

Following the decision to ignore the message, the Bakufu led by Shikken (Regent of the Shogun) Tokimune Hojo immediately begun to solidify its defenses against a possible invasion, while the Imperial court under Emperor Tsunehito ordered for prayers to be recited across Japan, asking the gods for divine protect

Keep in mind that the ordering here isn’t necessarily the focus. Certain games complete their circuits at different points in the year, so games like League of Legends and Overwatch haven’t completed their largest tournaments yet. Or take for instance Madden NFL 17 , sitting at $904,000, which won’t climb much higher since Madden NFL 18 is now availab

At the beginning of 1281, Kublai Khan finally gave the order to strike. Unfortunately for him, not all of his forces were ready, and the fleet in China was delayed by logistical problems and epidemics. The Korean admirals decided to set sail on their own instead of waiting for their Chinese allies, and on May 21st, they attempted a new landing on the shores of Tsush

At last, the second fleet from China arrived in July, linking up with the one from Korea. But at that point, Japanese defenders were pouring into Kyushu from all over the country. The walls around Hakata Bay were manned by thousands of samurai warriors. On top of that, small Japanese ships continued to harass the Mongol combined fleet with sudden boarding actions that caused the loss of many soldiers and sail

Over the past few years, Sony has been able to maintain a consistent level of expectations for fans to set for themselves, with E3 and PSX being the two standouts to look forward to for the biggest announcements and updates, and smaller news pieces being shuffled in throughout the year. After a couple of noteworthy E3s, Sony’s middling press conference at this year’s event left a lot of fans underwhelmed and anxious for more. In a moment of seeming panic, Sony set forth a chain of events that pushed forward a few of their key PSX announcements, including the reveal of Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, up to the Paris Games Week press conference, an event that, in the past, had rarely been used for major reveals such as those. Teased as the “second half of E3” , the Paris Games Week presser, while distinctly more filled with new trailers, also ended up being fairly standard and middling, leaving fans to wonder what Sony had left up their sleeves for PSX.
